Carbon brushes come in thousand of grades and designs. Carbon brushes are mainly used in Industrial motors applications both AC and DC Current of Various voltages.

Carbon brushes have self – lubricating properties which enable the machine / motors to run for thousand of hours, but with very little Sliprings / commutator wear. In addition to this unique mechanical advantage, carbon has another important feature, namely a relatively high contact resistance. Carbon withstands bad operating conditions when they arise; it cannot melt.
